Female Fertility

How the VA Rates Female Reproductive and Fertility Conditions

The VA evaluates female reproductive conditions under 38 CFR §4.116, focusing on the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Ratings are generally based on whether symptoms such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, or menstrual dysfunction require continuous treatment and whether that treatment effectively controls the condition.
Most conditions are rated 0%, 10%, or 30% under Diagnostic Codes 7613–7615. When reproductive organs have been surgically removed, higher ratings may apply, including temporary 100% evaluations followed by 30% or 50% ratings depending on the organs removed. While infertility alone does not always receive a schedular disability rating, veterans may qualify for Special Monthly Compensation (SMC-K) for loss of use of a creative organ when the condition is related to military service or a service-connected disability.se the symptoms are similar.
